Hey guys, Ive just joined this forum and wanted to share my most recent UC adventure..
Background: 25yo female, diagnosed in 2012, taking Pentasa 4 times a day, currently in remission!
So i was making the 30 minute drive to a lesson yesterday when I started feeling awful cramps. I assumed it would be gas I could easily pass, seeing I have been in remission for the past 5 months, and havent eaten any of my trigger foods.
Well those positive thoughts quickly subsided as I quickly realized I was pooping right then and there whether I liked it or not. Luckily I had some paper bags in the back seat of my car, so I ripped off my shorts and underwear and let it rip on this bag. I was in the middle of awful traffic and was certain as I was propping myself up, that drivers nearby could easily see into my car ..
Anyway, I was only 2 minutes away at the time of the crap (which was just a pile of liquid sludge, but no blood..) and my student lives in an ultra busy area. There was Nowhere i could clean myself off in privacy, so i drove to the busy apartment complex where he lives and into an underground parking area where I managed to find a discreet spot to dump the bag of liquid poo, wipe myself off a bit, and regain some dignity.
And guys I still went to that lesson and taught for three darn hours after the incident.
Once i was home I told my boyfriend what happened, and he helped clean some little poo splatters that had gotten on the seat in the car.. (what a guy!!)
Only then did I break down in tears.
How was I able to crap in public and dump it in some parking garage and carry on with my life as normal?? UC has certainly changed what I would consider normal these days.
I wanted to share my story to see if anyone experienced something similar --and to see how normal an accident like this is while NOT on a flare up. I have been feeling some urgency lately, so I could be in the beginning stages of a flare.. but it really took me totally by surprise.
Looking forward to hearing some responses/feedback :)
