Post Colonoscopy how much blood is too much ?

I have had a few colonoscopys over the years but never had any postscope bleeding like this

I have had two or three movements that looked like that since getting home ~4h hours ago

they did take some biopsy's as well as routine screening for colon cancer

I called the office and they said it sounded normal but I am still kind of concerned
gut has been pretty noisy as well

That's often what i pass after a flexible-sigmoidoscopy with biopsies when i have at least some inflammation.

I just found it odd I have had many coloscopys with biops and only recall once instance where it was anything like that also she was doing " Screening for malignant neoplasm of colon" which I assume means just a pre-screen as she said no polups or anything concerning terminology none the less

alrite ill ride it out until morning and see how it goes
seems to be somewhat clotting up its turning darker red and there seems to be slightly less of it kind of hard to tell
sigh ...
I wasn't even bleeding during the prep or even before that all I had was a little on the paper
this was quiet alarming ... not a fan of that particular surgeon anyway
I was in near remission before all this if this litteral crap dam it

still getting black bloody stools this morning now I am getting light headed going to the doctor ...

doc can't find anything visibly wrong concurs that the darker blood must be residual

still doesn't sit quiet right with me I have had enough of these to know what to expect

A colonoscopy is an invasive process, the scope rubs against bends in the large intestine and the biopsies leave pin pricks and combined those can cause bleeding for several days. It can be from a very bright red to a darker red. The scope and prep can upset out uc symptoms for 2-3 days during which our stool is looser and or more frequent. It should settle down.

What were the scope results? Did they see any inflammation and if so how far and how severe?

still waiting on scope results the part that ticks me off is that the surgeon basically said nothing to me other then I did some biophys and we are waiting on those

I wasn't having any consistent bleeding before just some bright red from some irritated hemorrhoids
nothing not even during the prep

now I generally feel worse then I did when it went in ... so much for routine colonoscopy

Same thing happened to me. They did a colonoscopy because I had been having bleeding once a week for 4 weeks. Then after the colonoscopy I was bleeding every day. That was 6 weeks ago and I'm still bleeding every day. They added a hydrocortisone suppository to my mesalamine enema regiment, so we'll see if that helps. I'm annoyed that now I'm worse than I was before.

Scopes in colonoscopy can't detect yeast which is eating your intestinal walls causing bleeding ulcers which goes into stools and comes out bloody. If you can find a doctor. Or naturopath that does yeast tests. Yeast eats you colon and makes it bleed.
