Hi

Been awhile since ive been here. Hope everyone is doing ok...Been in remission for over 2 years..Anyway strange thing started happening a few days ago. Well not so strange..Started having a little urgency in the morning and would go one or two times. Or go once in the morning then after i eat lunch i would have to go. Seems food triggers it, like a flare..Yesterday i only went once in the morning.. There is no blood, and not any mucus as far as i can tell. Stool has been somewhat loose and watery. Im also having left side pain more often it seems. Thought it was due to stress as my wife is finally getting over her breast cancer, which really stressed me out for months and i cant believe i didn't flare back then.. I started doing Canasa just the other night. Not sure what this is but i hope im not heading into a flare, what a nice xmas preset. mad

sounds like unfortunately a flare coming on - best to address it now -

amazing thing that is tho - when we're going thru a stressful event, it takes a toll on our crappy colons, but often the symptoms don't show up till after the trial is at least past the crisis point - then the poop party begins !

HI thanks, kinda what i thought. Hope i can take action before it goes full blown, going to up my Lialda as well. This isn't how my other flares started, but then again no two flares are the same correct? Others started with blood and mucus. Dont know whaer my sig is but

Welcome back but sorry about your unwelcome symptoms. Yeah it's possible thay it's the early rumbles of a flare and it's good you're upping your meds as a precaution. How many days has this been going on?

Hi. 3 days it's been happening..I could tell something was coming because Ive had alot of gas lately..Only other thing i could think of was i took one 200mg Ibuprofen last Sunday, just to tkae the edge off.. Had a bad headache and i know we are not suppose to take Ibuprofen but i had in the past while being in remission with no problems.

Could it be possible to flare without blood? ive heard of that, but its never happened to me.

Flare-up happens according to your yeast intake. Too much bread one day or too many brewers yeast beers bring on the flares. No more yeast for me. 15 times a day DIAHRREA lost my job no money no fun. Some people even lost their house because of DIAHRREA accidents at work couldn't pay the bills

How about taking a packet of the VSL#3 probiotic daily...can help get things back on track. Maybe things are just a little off.

HI Mom,

thanks ya i upped my probiotics i could try some VSL #3. I used to take it years ago, the pill form but not sure if it helped me much. thanks
