Describe "mini flare" ?

OK so its been a week or more now and im feeling the same. going one or two times a day, no blood. little bit of D. I do have some urgency. Not really seeing mucus but there is inflammation in the rectum i can tell skinnier stools. some rectal throbbing, left sided dull pain. its strange its like its on the fence of tuning into a flare but not totally.

Thanks Quincy, Yes Phillips only, once in morning and at night. Ill check for the ones you mentioned..was thinking about trying VSL #3 again but to be honest it didnt help me last time i tried it.

Only reason im scared of using other probiotics is one time i switched from Phillips to Align a few years ago and it sent me into a flare 2 weeks after i started using it believe it or not.

As a doctor I love patient UK- it defines mild moderate and severeflares according to guidelines.-

Mild: fewer than four stools daily, no more than small amounts of blood in stools, no anaemia, pulse rate not above 90, no fever and normal ESR and CRP.
Moderate: four to six stools a day with more blood in stools than for mild disease. No anaemia, pulse rate not above 90, no fever and normal ESR and CRP.
Severe: six or more stools per day, visible blood in stools and at least one feature of systemic upset (temperature above 37.8°C, pulse rate greater than 90, anaemia, ESR above 30).


What I don't get is when you have diarrhoea 10x a day but no bleeding. hmm
