Feeling so frustrated: Dx: ulcerative colitis,
IBD, proctitis. Been awake 2 hrs. So far 10 bowel
Movents in 1 1/2 hrs. Currently taking
Humira bi-weekly. Need to be near rest room at all times
Will I ever get in remission??

Can you tell us more of your history? What meds you are on and what have you tried?

I have tried prednisone, lialda, uceris and canasta.
Now just doing Humira bi-weekly

make sure you do not have a c-diff infection. not responding to pred is a red flag.

If you're only on humira then I'd suggest you get on multiple medications simultaneously as that produces the best results with ulcerative colitis. Perhaps consider adding rowasa enema and/or an immunomodulator like Imuran/6mp.

I second you getting a stool test for c diff. I had it once and didn't know it- thought it was a severe flare. C diff has a horrrible smell and a yellow type color. I went almost 20'tikes in a few hours and was severely dehydrated. I'd see if that's it. Keendribking liquids and call the doc.
