Hi,
Pretty sure this doesn't have anything to do with my uc,
But i have been having upper back pain for 2 months now.
Its on the left side between my shoulder blade and spine and feels deep only when I move around or even moving my head left or down. Sometimes i get neck/shoulder pain also. Kinda feels inflamed.
I also get it when breathing in really deep.
Just seeing if any of you have had this or know what this is,
Thank you!

You could be getting some autoimmune arthritis in you shoulder.

My hubby had upper back pain (not his usual lower back problem) that went on for months and made him quit gym workouts. His doctor ordered catscan and MRI (not together but after the first showed nothing) and nada.
I suggested he go to his physical therapist who always gets his lower back fixed and yes it was muscular, 4 sessions and he's better and back at the gym. Just one of those things. Having a good physical therapist is a blessing. Talk to your doctor if you need a referral for PT. My hubby tried all the usual stretching and self-PT at home before opting for tests. I use pressure-point therapy using a tennis ball when I have muscle pain but my pains are lesser.

To the OP, I'm wondering if you every had this issue resolved? I'm also having left sided back pain, maybe more middle. I want to say it is muscular, but has been going on for a couple months.

Is it muscular or joint pain? Some of us do develop pains elsewhere within our bodies as an extra-intestinal manifistation of UC. Here's a good link on it:
