Back on Valtrex, no blood day 4, down to 10mg of pred

Hi,

I needed to start valtrex to block any cold sores that might come up during my laser treatment , fraxel, due to sun damage, hormones and age (a personal choice)I started Valtrex (generic) Monday , treatment on Wednesday this week, (1000mg morning and nite) I dropped pred from 20mg to 10mg on Thursday (day after treatment) on Wednesday, no blood and still no blood. Same stool, long and skinny. No issues durning day. At 20mg of pred I was having "issues" blood, pain, etc... I'm sticking with 10mg of pred, one 1000mg of valtrex for a while along with my asacol and see if this helps.

It's a crap shoot. Valtrex helped once before , then I stopped it, restarted and didn't have the same results. I'm sticking with this and see how I do. I'm approved for Stelara and doc called and asked, "when do you want to start?" I said, I'm working on other stuff give me until March and he said okay. Biological have not worked in the past for me. So no rush on my part.

I've been reading Chrons could be a virus or bacteria or both, no one really knows. I will keep you posted.

I thought yes at one time, I'm going back to my MD and getting more tests.

Can you think of all or any virus tests I should ask for? Ebv, cmv, herpes, etc...

Dr Ledtke out of Saginaw, Michigan he is only like one of 5 in MI that are considered Lyme literate.

He is a MD, and back when I was dx with Lymes, I think we tested then. I will know more at the beginning of March when I go to see him.

Therearemiracles.. didnt we go over this years ago?
