Cold sores every couple of weeks

Yes....1000mg twice daily. Absolutely! It can be lowered to 500mg twice daily then eventually off. It's a handy supplement.

Just fyi...they give that rx to cats in humane society and rescues..tomthose with upper respiratory infection that's highly contagious and caused by herpes virus. We gave it to our cat off and on for many years...as well as did a friend of mine for her cat.

I get a series of blisters on my gums....whenever it feels like happening. It definitely follows a nerve route, up into my head, ear and face causing pain and numbness. I had them tested, bit no herpes. It probably started last night (but had neck adjustment)....this morning it's following the typical route and blisters have started. I've already taken the 1000mg this morning and will tonight. It'll be continued for a week after it's gone then tapered off.
