Honest advice really needed as not sure I believe in my consultant

Hi all feeling extremely depressed this morning and would really like some honest feedback on my flare up!

Context: for the last 3 weeks I've been experiencing my first flare up since diagnosed in 2013, initially experienced 10 plus bms per day was told to double up 1g pentassa suppositories had bloods taken and two samples, blood showed not anaemic crp (think this was to measure inflammation) 8.5 was given pred foam enemas once daily 20 mg. I was told by the consultant the steroids will bring the bleeding under control in days.

I've been off work now for 2.5 weeks feeling shocking zero appetite as said 10 plus bms p day started the foam enemas initially they seemed to bring down the amount of bms down to 6/7 a day with in the mornings slightly less blood, and as the day goes on and after lunch all the symptoms start to come back blood in bowl exhaustion and chills before and after bms, now this morning I didn't make the loo and full of thick dark blood and lots of it, plus more painful cramps before going this morning, I've been having liquids stolls from the begging nothing more

I was told when I started the steroid foam to come off the pentasa.

So as said I'm desperate for some truthful opinions

1. Is this flare up more severe than the consultant thinks?

2. Should I have stopped the pentasa?

3. Why the thick dark red blood?

4. Is This exhaustion normal?

5. I'm frightened as I'm not reacting to meds that it maybe something more sinister?

6. Is there anything I can suggest to my consultant?

Feel free to tell me to shut up, be patient or what ever you think the truth is im frightened beyond belief and feel my life is going down the pan!

Thank you I will call them today as I can't understand why they have taken me off the pentasa also, I've had two stool samples on was for infection and was clear and the other I have no idea what it was for to be honest.

The darker blood is maroon colour to be fair but I'm not happy with my progress at all

2. No. Bad move. The consultant will only tell you to go back on the Pentasa and give it more time.

5. No, very unlikely. Not responding to meds is fairly common.

6. Tell him your symptoms and don't hold anything back. Particularly the dark red blood. See what he suggests.

Edit: Oops, I apologise. I hadn't seen your second post. It was their mistake in taking you off Pentasa, I reckon. Even if the steroid enemas had worked as they should, you still ought to be on a maintenance medication of some sort.
