YELLOW SKIN, PALE POOP

if dark urine, it could be hepititis

Yellow skin is often jaundice and may hint at liver issues. Have any liver tests rectently? Warnings of signs of jaundice are on many medications.

Could be a blockage in any of the biliary system. You should be set up for an mrcp asap before you go away.

Could be autoimmune hepatitis.

Have you had an ama blood test?

Do you have a copy of your recent blood test results?

When I saw yellow skin, pale poop, I instantly thought liver as well

and if the duct is blocked wouldn't bilirubin level rise?

Thank guys, I didn't do ama or mrcp it's all new to me, once I come back will def ask for refferal. but for now I stopped salofalk and my pain improved, poop became darker, but I think skin is still yellowish. I hope that cortiment and probiotics will hold up on its own for a week and then I will need to go to GI and look into different treatment options (not sure what they will be) any suggestions?

My first thought was also liver problems.

But some of the very very rare side effects of Salofalk, are yellow skin or eyes, and light colored stools.

Of course they are not indicating the cause of the side effect or I have not researched enough.

Hi everyone, I thought I'd give you an update on my current situation: so my skin is now mostly normal with slightly yellow hands (may be that's my natural colour), eyes are fine, poop normal colour too. I stopped salofalk on 10th of april and was feeling just fine - no change from what I had symptom wise on it - little blood on stool and sometimes on paper and mucus every now and then. the ultrasound was normal and my blood test was fine, but I had this mild irritating pain in the upper abdomen mostly in the centre and left side and slight nausea, when we came back I ask the doctor for MRCP but he could only offer me abdominal ct scan (my GI is away and I asked GP instead), Ct scan showed swelling of pancreas,with a bit of fluid around it, my GP thinks it's salofalk induced as there are no other reasons for pancreatitis to develop. So I am scared and in pain, the GI appointment only on 23 of May and I am trying to reduce the swelling naturally without irritating my UC. low fat diet doesn't seem to help< I am trying some supplements but it's not helping. I had a crazy thought that the swelling was because the day before the scan I went to the gym and did a lot of exercises on the medicine ball shoved under my stomach? I know it sound stupid. other stupid idea is what if the scan didn't show something more sinister, because the report consists of 4 lines and looks like they were in a hurry and didn't look at it for too long. in short I am going mad with all what ifs and this scratchy pain driving me up the wall

When is your gp back? Definitely get an mrcp set up soon.
