There is a huge mixed bag of people who think fiber either hurts or helps them. Fiber hasn't been a problem for me nearly as much as sugars, breads, fried greasy things, etc. Veggies whether steamed, sauteed, barbecued, make no difference and I think they are some of the better foods for me. People advocating eliminating vegetables from diet still bewilders me seeing as fermentable fiber is needed for microbes to do their job. I'm not advising to eat vegetables if you know it hurts you but it sounds like you still haven't figured out whether they do or not. If you really want to eliminate fiber from your veggies I suggest investing in a masticating juicer. The types of vegetables are often more to blame than vegetables themselves. Cruciferous vegetables like kale seem to effect some more than others.
