And what a way to start the day. It's nice and cool outside, so I thought I'd take the dog for a walk before everyone wakes up. And, no sooner am I a couple hundred feet from the house and bam- accident. Poor dog-he didn't know what was going on and I had to rush him back to the house. Got all over the rug in the bathroom. I gave up and just got in the shower. What a way to start the day.

Again, I don't wanna call the doc bc I'm afraid he'll up my pred dose, which will impact my eligibility for the trial. But I don't think I have a choice at this point. I can't live like this.

There was someone else who told a story of urgency while walking the dog. This person did not even make it back to the house, just got behind a bush and the way I recall he described it, both he and his dog were going together behind a bush. What an image, LOL.

That happened to me not once but twice! Thank goodness no one was at the park where I was. Sorry that happened to you....it sucks so bad.

Never walking the dog but on side of Parkway in New York during rush hour,thank god bushes had bloomed.I have work Van so always have 5 gal buckets with me.Surgery is something i have to plan after having this disease 32 yrs

UC, the disease that just keeps on giving! So sorry! But what I am happy about is that we have this forum to come to and gripe about personal humiliations that I wouldn't dream of sharing with even my best friend! Helps in knowing everyone understands and has usually had a similar experience!

Sorry to hear it, as you say its a horrible way to start the day... same happened to me yesterday but I was prepared for it and was wearing a diaper...its not a nice feeling though..it makes you feel bad somehow.

I actually did think about going in the woods but Too many houses! Horrible that I even have to consider that!

It's so random. Some days will be better than others where I think I'm okay without adult underwear and other days I prob should wear it. I just never know. Too hot to wear that every day if I can avoid it.

What drug trial? Most trials you have a chance of getting a placebo so that's no better that what you're doing right now. Have you considered Stelara? You might be able to get it off-label since you've tried most meds; it was approved for CD last year.

I am so sorry. I used to always chalk it up to a bad day. Maybe you can wait another day or two and see if you're any better, and then agree to the increased dose if things are still crappy. It sounds like you need to move forward on a new plan ASAP. How long till you can start the trial? I agree with Keith, you do need to be mindful of the fact that you could get a placebo and end up not making progress. Might be better to go for a sure thing whatever that is. I am so thankful for surgery.

Sorry you had to go through that, uc truly and bitterly sucks for all of us. I've crapped myself more times than I'd like to admit during a yearlong flare a few years back (at work multiple times, while driving 4+ times, and had many an emergency pit stop in the woods to poop.
