Still hanging in the hospital

They won't let me out.

I asked about the infection bug...Aeronus? My spelling may be off. Fun times.

Anyway I do great during the day, right about now till 7 I'm in agony unless they give me something. They also want me to stop bleeding but by 7 I've had at least one red bowl of death.

So here I sit on levaquin, Rowasa, prednisone, extra iron because my hemoglobin has wiggled down to a 9 from a 12 last week, Bentyl when it's inclined to work and the occasional fentynl or Norco. Yet the dining staff keep trying to send me coffee and dairy. When u said no milk they switched to ensure....made of milk. Lol.

I wanna go home. Stupid bacteria. I wonder what came first the flare or infection. Cuz this flare was wierd when it started with just random pain. If the infection came first I just wonder how.

Hi.....frustrating, but hopefully you'll improve soon. I'm assuming the infection they're meanining are Anaerobic (don't need oxygen to thrive)....but there are many types, and you should ask for specifics as to exactly what kind.
Could be c.diff, e. Coli, ......

Good you're home. Thanks for the name of the bacteria..never heard of it. Interesting info on it...but not a lot. What have they given you for treatment?

Yeah, they didn't really tell me much about it other than it naturally occurs in the gut and that I couldn't get my kids sick. Im someone who just wants to know why and I hate not really figuring out where this came from. Pretty sure the bug came before the flare just because it started off so unusually.

Much better today, still bleeding but alot less pain. Just exhausted and weak. Debating work tomorrow or pushing it back to Wednesday.

I have three more doses if Levaquin for the bug, but on 60mg of Pred, Bentyl, and Rowasa for the flare. Start Remicade the 20th. Works for me if I can just get off the pred. This is horrible to say but over the last 3 years being on it all the time has killed my weight. I'd like to keep off the 20lbs I've lost in the last 3 weeks!
