Hi folks,
Thought I was getting ready to start Remicade, and doctor worked hard to get me approved for Remicade...just got news today insurance said no to Remicade but yes to Humira. As this hasn't been on the table at all in our discussions....I did a quick search here, and it looks like Humira a good drug, perhaps sometimes works better than Remicade...not real sure, but I am certainly looking forward to trying it.
If I start Humira say next week....2 weeks later leave for NC - so say its in my body 3 weeks when get to NC....does anyone have feedback on symptoms, how quickly it works, stuff like that? I got all this info. on the Remicade...but not Humira...just a message online from my doc, so no conversation for a while there.
Of course my ideal, long term - is to be able to go out to eat again - eating carefully. (as well as say goodbye to cramping and diarrhea ) I am doing the intro gaps diet as still having diarrhea for slightly over one month, after weaning off steroids. Now I'm on a different steroid....20 mg...I'm managing to work....have diarrhea in morning, take immodium, and rest of day I'm good (dreading getting off the steroid). I eat very carefully and very little at a time.
