when to start cort enemas

Hi guys,

I was experiencing a brief couple of months with relatively no symptoms, except some excess gas. Now i'm starting to see mucous, and some blood. Still having 2 semi normal stools but then seeing in the afternoon and evening just mucous.
I am currently on Lialda 4x a day, and just added uceris when i started seeing the mucous, I have some cort enemas on hand and was wondering if I should start them up and then also see a new GI dr, bc I see you guys are on rowasa and canasa and I just feel a second opinion would be good.
Is it ok to start the cort enema at the first sign of mucous and some blood?

I'd call your gasteroenteroligist, tell him/her about your increased symptoms and you can ask about the cortenemas. I'd say it is probably fine to start the cortenemas as a precaution, but always run it by your doc 1st, if you can!
