What's wrong with my liver

Hello everyone
In 2015 i was diagnosed with UC and my doctor found that the liver enzymes were high I didn't pay attention to that until 3 months ago I felt really sick and tired so I checked my liver enzymes and the result was gpt 96 and got 56
My doctor suggested to do a biopsy
I went to another doctor for a second opinion
The second doctor told me to lose weight i was 90kg and he said that I should lose 10 kg
I started diet and working out , my enzymes levels were dropping every month until this month a week ago i did the test and my got was 43
So went back to my doctor and I told him that i need to do the biopsy cause i was sooo worried he said it's nothing and I shouldn't be worried and continue with my plan for losing weight
But i cant relax am so worried I feel numb from worrying
Should i do the biopsy? Can anyone please tell me what to do
Ps : the ultrasound showed that i have normal size liver

Mine spiked because of Asacol and because I was so sick at the time. I had it again with 6-mp.

There are other tests other than a biopsy. They are much less invasive, a biopsy should be the last resort.

Not trying to minimize it because we are at a higher risk for a liver disease called PSC.

Like I said previously, I would get other tests done before a biopsy. The biopsies have some risks associated with them but so does ignoring the cause of your elevated liver enzymes

My liver was affected when I was taking sulfasalazine. My red blood count had dropped and white blood count was high. Took a few weeks off the medicine to reverse it.
