I have some Arcoxia at home, do you take Omeprazole as protection?
They are really clamping down on codeine at the moment, although you can still buy over the counter in the UK at the moment. Its hard for us IBD peeps. My GP always wants to give me amitriptyline which helps me sleep but not much else.
No you can't :/
Unless you mean co-codamol, but the OTC stuff only has low-dose codeine. Anything higher requires a doctor's prescript
ion.
I had to lol a little bit at amitriptyline. What is it with GPs being so obsessed with that stuff? It's absolutely useless for IBD pain, although it does help with sleep like you said (albeit leaving me pretty groggy for a few hours after waking).

Trouble is I don't have inflammatory arthritis. I've got ddd in l4 and l5. Also have s1 nerve compression. I also have some weird neuropathy and fasciculation, could be the discs of course. I also wondered about cramp fasciculation syndrome. Is Cymbalta actually proven to help pain? Others I thought of were gabapentinoids although latest research isn't good. I'm still waiting for reduction in Azathioprine to see if that helps , I had over therapeutic levels.
It helped with my nerve pain, but it wasn't that bad to begin with. Something more severe, I don't know. The only way to find out is to try it and see. I started Cymbalta at 60mg, which was pretty brutal, so you may want to go in lower at 30mg.
