Is this black/tarry/coffeeground stool?

Sorry it’s gross. For the last two days I have had this. I already know I have a H. Pylori infection but my doctor wanted to give me a rest from antibiotics for a few weeks before we start treating it. I’ve also had terrible acid reflux and heartburn the last few days. Have I developed an ulcer/bleed?

Definitely looks blackish, with some reddish falling to the bottom of the toilet.

So, what meds are you on?

Are you on supplements such as iron?

And has thos just started happening as once?

I’m not currently taking any meds. I just finished 14-day cipro/flagyl treatment for infectious colitis. My last dose of those meds with Thursday. Yesterday and today I have had the stools that look like the pictures above. I did take one Zantac yesterday morning for acid reflux.

Zantac shouldn't do that...I take it nightly. But skip it for a day or so and see if it changes. However, you should absolutely all your doc soon and ask if you can get a kit for stool testing.

Are you on any probiotics?

I am taking Align probiotics once in the mornings.
