very interesting.
I drink a store-brand ginger tea that I bought from the store. Would that not enough ginger? Try something with a greater amount of ginger to feel the effects? I feel better now than at any point during this 11 month flare, but i'd imagine most of it is the entyvio.
I like making it homemade because I definitely make it stronger than anything store-bought and it just tastes so fresh. I dice up peeled root (not necessary to peel I recently found out) and add about
2 inches of root for 2 quarts of water. I simmer this for 20-25 minutes and then put the lid on the pan and allow it to steep and cool a bit.
I usually have a hot cup right away and then after completely cooled keep the rest in the fridge. I have 2 cups a day. I do take little week breaks here and there to keep it special ;-)
If I have a sweet tooth I'll add some raw honey and lemon, but mostly just straight. After beginning adding ginger tea I went into remission (finally !!!) now I should add that I had been using mesalamine and probiotics for 4 months, too. But I just have this inkling that the ginger put me over the top?
