UC and enjoy my life. No affect on gym, sex, etc.
Yes, the might cause cancer bit is unnerving to us all. But what is the actual risk behind it? The most concerning side effect of these medications is lymphoma which has odds of 6 in 10,000 (or 0.06 percent) assuming you are concurrently on immunomodulators like 6mp/imuran, compared to 2 in 10,000 ( or 0.02 percent) for the general population. It's believed that the immunomodulators are the most likely supect in the lymphomas, not the biologics. What happens to those who got the lymphoma? 66% were able to put it ibto a remission. So you're talking really long odds... and nothing to loose sleep over. The Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America is the source for these statistics:
