Another question: Do nicotine patches work the same for UC?
I have Crohn's (mostly) in my colon, and for the first years, it was diagnosed as "indetermined", or "Crohn's colitis".
After exhausting every drug option, I thought, "why not, if I have UC and not Crohn's, maybe smoking would help me."
So I started smoking, and after the 3rd cigarette my symptoms were increased like hell.
I have never touched a cigarette again.
These days, I have been thinking about
using nicotine patches to increase my productivity (I can't consume caffeine, hurts my gut). I have worries though, can nicotine alone trigger a Crohn's flare-up?
