Humira onset of action?

It's great news that you got an initial positive response from humira. Generally, you must receive a response to humira in the 1st 6 weeks to continue treatment on an ongoing basis. Depends what you mean. Healing fully can take months to enter a remission (never nearly as fast as you or I want it to be). However, you should have steady but slow improvements. If you feel you've stopped improving, and have plateaued, then you might need a dosage adjustment. Not sure that 3 days is long enough to say for sure it is needed.

What's your current Humira dosage and frequency? I ask as that can often be increased. Some take Humira weekly.

Although I noticed improvement after the initial 4 shots/loading dose it wasn't until a week after the 2nd loading dose (2 shots) that things really kicked in, but I was still on 20mg of prednisone. I was able to wean 5mg per week after that and am on 5mg now. This is my 5th week so I had just 1 shot last Friday. I am still taking balsalazide and using Rowasa 2x per week. My doc had initially wanted me to start weaning prednisone immediately and stop all other meds once starting Humira. I waited to wean until I felt more secure and am continuing the 5-ASA's until off of the steroids ( I really think they are helping bridge the gap).

Are you on any other meds? I think deep remission takes time.
