Article: The best diet for ulcerative colitis

I stumbled across this article about diet and UC. Can one of the moderators add this to the "Ulcerative Colitis Resources sticky (if you think it belongs there)? It is a great article...covers a lot of material and includes links to specific studies.

this seems to be a very well done review for popular consumption - sadly, it does not offer much hope.

fiber from fruit and veg while in remission, reduced meat (or especially meat fats), and probiotics seem to be the best general advice

yes, I think the article does more to alert people to the best ways of thinking about food/supplements and symptoms and UC - mostly be thinking about mechanism.

the advice about probiotics seems good. They have the most evidence.

the advice about amounts of fiber when in/out of flares seems good.

oddly, I did not see ginger mentioned.
