Dear Bambinou,

How do you feel now? Still following the diet. I am struggling with the ulcerative proctitis from 2013. Till now no permanent solution. I am pure vegetarian (won't take egg, chicken, meat). But am taking milk. Doctors suggested no diet restriction. Now-a-days even taking enema and Canasa also not solving the problem. Doctor told that no cure for this disease. Can you suggest how to overcome this disease?

i'm not Bambinou :) but if i could advice you is that milk is not the best thing in ibd, but eggs are always recommended by doctors

Hi bambio.
Ok you have very similar symptoms to what I had, i had glandular fever at 16 then i had sinusitis and proctitis that gave me bouts of colitis but it was very mild. For me the only difference is i had a brain injury at 27 and immune went beserk. I bled for about three years and then got diagnosed. Was diagnosed severe extensive left sided ulcerative colitis. I was six weeks from surgery. Couldn't have the 6000mg of mesalazine due to very weird reaction put down to the brain injury. So found scd within days felt better that was just over three years ago. I now feel that my body needs a slight change. I have also done fmts and gcmaf goleic. All have helped me to some degree. Feel like my healing is at a plateau .
Could you send me in a reply all the helpful books links etc i am going to try what you have done as we are very similar in disease.

I'm starting the Alkaline Diet today for my Proctitis/Colitis. I pray that I am as successful as you were. I'm still taking the Entocort and Lialda and I'm trying to avoid the Remicade.

I went to Whole Foods today and bought a bunch of fruits and veggies on the Alkaline Chart and I am starting Florastar as my probiotic. Any other suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
