I am in the middle of a prep for a colonoscopy tomorrow. Having been on a liquid diet all day today, I took the first litre of Moviprep at 7 pm this evening. It is now almost 11 pm and nothing has happened. Has this happened to anyone else?

I was due to get up in the morning and begin the next litre at 5 am. I now do not know whether to try and sleep or begin the next litre straight away?

Oh boy, I hope you get some advice. I know that feeling of panic. I've never taken Moviprep so can't advise. I also never had nothing happen from the first dose of a prep... My issues were nothing further happening after the second dose but I won't cloud the issue with that story. Good luck! Hope things start moving for you.

It always takes a bit longer for me so I take the 2nd dose 2 hours prior to scheduled time. You don’t want to take it too early as the intent is to have 2 distinct clearings.

Thanks for the responses! In the end I was worrying about nothing and it was absolutely fine. Managed 5 hours sleep before having to wake to take the second dose. The second dose worked completely and the procedure was absolutely fine!
