Anyone else have left sided pain proctitis?

I have never had D. or pain in the rectum. I seem to just have this left pain deep inside my left hip. It throbs like I have an internal boil. What did your pain feel like?

So 6 years ago I was diagnosed proctitis and told nothing I can do about it and I would have it for life. I have never been back since then. The bleeding stopped and has come back here and there but stops on its own somehow. I feel so stupid. I had no idea I needed to be screened or get back to doc when it started up. But I never had any pain with the bleeding before. But in April 2017 I started flaring and hasn't stopped. But not been super bad but now I have this odd scary pain. I am super worried. Finally got an apt for 2/2!!! I am both scared and happy. I hope it's not cancer. I had a doc about 3 years ago so a blood test on me and told me I had 1 in 14 chance of having colon cancer but she never said I needed a scope. So maybe that text just picked up on the same markers as the proctitis. Maybe they are similar in inflammation or genes I don't know but I am hoping for the best!
I am 45 years old female. 115lbs so no more weight to loose. I have lost 7lbs since bleeding started 9monhs ago. Diagnosed at 40. I teach yoga for a living but I don't always eat perfect. My eyes have become super blood shot no matter how much sleep I get and I just look like icky.

We all flare and what you describe sounds like one. Don't assume CRC as it's highly improbable as we do not have a statistically-significant increased risk of CRC until after 10 years with UC, and then it is only slight. CRC risks increase the longer we've had UC. However only 3-5% of us ultimitely get a CRC.
