Isatis Cooling during a flare AND not during a flare?

Hi guys. I have a mild flare right now but I have a lot of business and vacation travel coming up within the next month so I am trying to get it under control. Someone suggested taking Isatis cooling instead of going the prednisone route. I thought I would give it a try.

I just got my Amazon delivery. My question to everyone who has taken it before: Do you use it only when you are flaring or do you also use it for regulation when you are in remission? I am just curious because once this bottle is done and (hopefully) I am feeling better, should I purchase another bottle and keep taking the pills?

What are people's thoughts?

What about mesalamine oral rectal?

Never tried the Isatis cooling....keep us updated how you do on it.

Give it a try. However, do not be afraid to go on the pred should your trial with Isatis Cooling not work. There's no guarantees!

I have used Isatis Cooling in the past year and it's working for me. If I see blood and/or mucus, I take some and it usually go away really fast. So it's perfect to use when I see a flare coming or if I have done something that trigger me.

But, at some point, if it's a big flare, it still can help to reduce symptoms but it cannot replace medication like prednisone.

I absolutely don't feel the need to take it when I am doing better, so I use it mostly at first sign of blood and mucus. I always keep a bottle as a back up!
