You can click my name and see my last post to catch up on my situation. My anxiety has been at an all time high recently. I wasn't even this bad when I was diagnosed with UC. Anyways, I saw my GI and he said my symptoms weren't a flare. I go in the morning and my stomach, if my anxiety settles down, pretty much gives me no problems for the rest of the day. I'll have a colonoscopy this September to check things anyways. Right now he wasn't worried.
Anyways, I talked him into giving me a blood test because my mind has been trying to find something wrong with me. I was within normal range for AST, ALT, Albumin, GGT and the rest of the LFT. My CBC is good too. CRP was 0. However, my bilirubin is 4 points too high. It's at 27 and the upper end of the range is 23. My family doctor said he's not worried and only at 2x or 3x the normal level is bilirubin a problem. I called my GI's office today and was told the same thing. He'll check it again when I have my colonoscopy.
Does anyone have experience with high bilirubin with everything else normal? I'm freaking out even though both my doctors said not to. Anxiety is wonderful, eh?
