Antispasmodic medication question

My GI just prescribed me an antispasmodic (bentyle) and I was reading side effects and it said it's not recommended for people with GERD. I was recently prescribed a proton pump inhibitor for La grade b esophogitis, and was wondering if anyone else experienced taking antispasmodic with acid type issues and how that turned out for you. He prescribed it because I sometimes cannot go back to sleep for an hour or two because of pain after the toilet.

I'm not really sure why it says that, but I take both Bentyl & Omeprazole (PPI) together and so does my husband take Bentyl & Pantaprozole (another PPI). Our GI prescribes it and neither one of us have any issues. Your GI knows your situation so if it was prescribed it should be fine. Also if you look it up on line there are no drug interactions with these drugs.

I use it and am on zantac. I have reflux. Bentylol/bentyl lowers acid in the stomach .

I took dexilant and bentyl together and was fine
