New here! 27 year old female
Ulcerative Colitis since 15
Just started Simponi yesterday since Lialda didn’t help me at all. Tapering down in the prednisone and hoping for the best! Haven’t really heard any great success from biologics but I really hope this works out for me. I will be updating my progress. Feel free to ask any questions!
If you have any experience with Simponi please share!

We have seen tons of successes with biologics. I am sure you will do great. It seems like more people use remicade or Humira, but Simponi should be just as good of an option as the others. I hope you're able to get off pred quickly, and that you get into a long remission.

I started simponi in 2013 and still take it. I usually have to stretch my shots every 5-6 weeks due to chronic neutropenia. My WBC is way too low when I do it every 4 weeks but delaying the shot seems to help a little bit.

I hope you do well on it!! It is not too painful compared to Humira at least!

Hi I am starting on simponi in the next few day when the nurse comes to show me what to do , I really don’t know much about it , been on pantasa enama and they are not working . So be nice to keep in touch with you to see how things are going . I am a little nervous of it all and maybe worried as it’s the in known . Hope that it has worked for you .
