Cannabis Suppositories

I was wondering if anyone has experience using Cannabis suppositories. Wondering about:

-Effectiveness
-Dosage of THC/CBD in suppository
-Frequency of use....2x a day?

Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

are these cannabis suppositories even available? have you tried them? id think cbd, given the reported healing properties, would be the way to go but not really sure.

If you are located in a state where Marijuana is legal then they are available for purchase. Or if you are in a state where medical marijuana is legal, they might be available. Or you can make your own (pretty simple) if you want to be "adventurous" and have a "friend".

There is a fair amount of debate as to how effective CBD is without the THC to activate it. For more chronic or serious conditions, you seem to need the THC component but I am no expert.

UC is a qualifying condition in most states. I don't really like to get high and using suppositories, you do not get high as the THC is not processed through the liver.

I am just starting to experiment after researching on the web but would like more info from some one with UC or Crohns. Actually someone mentioned MJ had been very helpful and they were going to start using suppositories. I suppose like most treatments for UC, "actual mileage may vary".

so in some states it is legal recreational and medical - so would a suppository be offered to both? I'm not sure. Also, wouldn't it make a person MORE high because it is not filtered by the liver?

I think its an interesting question though as to whether it can help heal the rectum. I'd like to hear if you get any info.

In Florida you can Cannabis oil concentrate and mix for coconut oil to make a suppository. Hopefully somoeone with experience with weight in here.

My interest was piqued when I read this response to me from a previous post:

I've been using cannabis for my colitis for a while and its helped me better than any med I've been prescribed.

And just recently I made cannabis suppositories made from cocoa butter, 1G THC and 1G CBD I'm gonna start them soon and see how they work.

Not saying it wasn't the diet but trust me the cannabis played a big part.
