Yes fructose acts like caffeine in my gut, almost immediate reaction of BM, never bleeding from fructose, that is caused by fiber for me. I swear the grapes sold today have MUCH more fructose in them than the past, I used to be able to eat a couple but now just one and done.
Honey was a big problem when I tried SCD (and failed). I finally figured out that white sugar is much more tolerated than honey or any other fructose.
Some berries have lower amounts of fructose so sometimes I'll have some. I grow mulberries and make jam but sadly can't have much of it.
Great that fiber doesn't bother you, it does bother my gut. No nuts, high fiber veggies, etc. keeps my gut happy.
edit to add: I have no knowledge/opinion whether fructose causes inflammation. Because I quit eating so many different categories of food in my diet mod. it's hard to say. Caffeine causes symptoms but probably not inflammation, fiber causes symptoms and probably inflammation due to gut not able to process it, wheat? yes very likely inflammation. Fructose? hard to say.
