Bowel movements

I had a flare back earlier in the year and its back under control. With in the last week my bowel movements have changed they are narrow sometimes pencil like other times normal. Also sometimes go 4 plus times a day others 1-2 I have soreness/pain around rectum. I have bin put cream on the area and using tucks medicated pads thinking possible hemroids. I have read ibs ulcerative colitis & chrones can cause those types of stools I also read can be a sign of colon cancer. Has anyone else had this experience and if so how long did it last?

Nobody can say colon cancer --- you have to get scoped/biopsied for that.

But restriction of the rectum can happen. My UC manifested early on as proctitis and as a result, my BMs are thinner than normal. Passing gas is also difficult because the passage is narrow. Since you can't pass as much in a given amount of time, it would make sense that you have to go more often.

I'm not even sure if this can be fixed, but I'll be visiting my GI doc this week to find out.
