What did they do to determine pancolitis? I'm not sure about a connection with the gallbladder causing colitis. I'm currently dealing with an issue with my gallbladder. I've had 3 "attacks" where I get a severe non stop pain below my sternum and severe nausea which lasts for a few hours. When that's gone, I end up developing a high fever between 101-103 with severe chills/sweats. Through a HIDA scan, my gallbladder is functioning at only 3%. I have seen a lot of people who deal with UC and Crohn's, also deal with gallbladder issues. The gallbladder can potentially rupture if severely infected. They didn't find any stones during my tests and see my GI soon for further info. Gallbladder attacks are horrible and make you feel horribly sick if severe enough. Trouble breathing is also a symptom of gallbladder issues. "Sepsis and septic shock can result from an infection anywhere in the body, such as cholysistitis (inflammation of the gallbladder)".
