Sorry to hear that. Chicken pox in adults can be pretty rough. I had chicken pox at age 30 (before I had UC), and I have never felt so bad in my life. Fever, headache, body aches, terrible fatigue. The blisters make it painful to lie down or even rest your head on a pillow. Got steadily worse for about 7 days, and then it took another week to really feel normal again, and a third week for the blisters to heal (and I still have pock marks 20 years later).
Unfortunately I have never heard of any effective treatment. Acetaminophen or ibuprofen for headaches and fever. Aveeno oatmeal baths to soothe the skin. Those help but don't fully alleviate symptoms.
I went to a GP who told me "Either you have chicken pox and you'll be better in 2 weeks or you have smallpox and you'll be dead. I can't help you in either case."
Hope it goes better for you, but you should be prepared to be pretty sick for a couple of weeks.
