Sorry to hear about the diagnosis and allergies.
I moved to AZ and developed year-round allergies; they were very bad. I became resistant to Claritin, Zyrtec, and one other brand. I was on a steroid shot for 3 years, which worked for a small time, however I could only get it every 365 days. It was similar to having the flu every day for months on end. It also negatively affected my UC.
I was told about the benefits of local raw honey. At first I dismissed the claims. But, honey is good, so I tried it. Within a week of local raw honey, I was 50% better. After a month, I was 95% better. Now I get a little stuffy from time to time, but that’s it - barely noticeable. I do not think about allergies unless someone brings up the topic.
In my experience, along with many others, allergies can be wiped out by finding local raw honey and eating a tablespoon-ish each day. (Put it in tea, coffee, or off the spoon.) It MUST be local and raw, not something you get at the grocery store, Costco, Sam's club, online, etc. The local honey will have all your local pollen, whereas the other versions will not.
Once he starts, he'll have a reaction because he's ingesting pollen. (If he's in a reaction, it won't be noticeable.) It'll last a few days and get better. Eventually, he won't notice anything. (If he quits taking the spoonful a day for a while and starts again, he'll have a small reaction. Don't be like me and do that.)
It's worked for 12 other people I've told who live in CA, AZ, NE, ME, and MN. I am sure it will work for your son, too.
Best of luck!
