Xeljanx working right away?

New here.
So I recently started Xeljanx after failing Entyvio (I gave it 8 months - going every 4 weeks) and it seems to started working as soon as I took in 10mg pill. In the past, I have tried Humira and that has worked well for 2+ years but it stopped working. Ever since then, I have tried bunch of drugs for past year and none have worked. I have been on and off tapering down Prednisone for just over a year now and it looks like I maybe able to do it now for good. I tapered down from 40mg to 5mg since I had been on Entyvio but symptoms came back at 5mg so I went back up to 10mg - which has me going for 5-6 times with urgency but no blood. At 5, I did be going with blood and 6-10 times so Entyvio’s been a big failure. I actually had my last infusion this week and didn’t see improvement afterwards. However, since I got Xeljanx shortly after infusion, I had have not went once after. Although I’m still on 10mg Prednisone but that wasn’t working quite as well so could it be Xeljanx?

I’m so pleased with the results so far, will give a update in a week to see how it goes. I’m suppose to be taking twice a day for 8 weeks but i believe one each might be enough. I’ll be taking twice in any case - don’t want to take any chances as last scope gave me Mayo score of 3- very severe actually

That's good to know. Is there anything else he take along with Xeljanz?

I've heard xeljanz is a fast biologic, just remember that internal healing does take a lot of time. A medication can stop the immune attack, but the healing process itself is slow and steady. Give it a series of 3-6 weeks before deciding whether it's effective or not.

It's normal to have a lot of gas as you heal, just give it a little more time and that too shall pass. I always have a lot of excess flatulence as I heal, that excess goes away entirely (and returns to normal) as you continue healing. I look forward to more updates and success!
