STEP 1. Get a high purity Black Cumin Seed (Nigella sativa) oil.

You can buy Black Cumin seed oil from local Indian, Middle Eastern, or Israeli markets. But the easiest place to buy is online from eBay and Amazon.
If you're buying online, beware that some companies dilute their oil to make more profit, so it's important that you know that the quality can vary greatly
and do not give up if you don't see noticeable results (bleeding stop within a week). Just go find a different brand!
The brands that I had great results with were: A) Kalonji oil (by Ashwin) and B) Black Cumin seed oil (by HomeLikeGrandmas)
AVOID the following brands that sell low quality oil: A) cocojojo-cosmetics and B) organicpureoil
STEP 2. Get a Probiotic supplement (multi strain)

The human digestive tract has hundreds of different strains (types) of good bacteria that protect us from disease causing bacteria.
When we take certain medications (antibiotics), these good bacteria gets wiped out, and the bad bacteria grow and cause diarrhea, inflammation, and more.
Killing bad bacteria is not enough. They will grow back and the problems return. To prevent this, we need to restore as many of the good bacteria as possible.
Get a Probiotic supplement with multiple strains of good bacteria. The more strains, the better. Also, the number of live bacteria is important. I suggest you look for the highest rated Probiotic with the lowest price!

STEP 3. Get a Fiber supplement (Psyllium husk)

Fiber supplement has been really important in my recovery from colitis. It helped with reducing constipation, cleaning of my bowel, and helped with the stopping of
the bloody stool. Fiber is also one of the many prebiotics, which are basically food for probiotics, the good bacteria!
I have tried 2 types of fiber: dextrin (corn) fiber and psyllium husk fiber. Corn fiber did NOTHING. Psyllium husk fiber stopped my bleeding within 3 days!
Psyllium husk fiber is inexpensive. Look for any brand with the lowest price! No need to pay a fortune

HOW I TOOK THE SUPPLEMENTS THAT HELPED MY COLITIS

BREAKFAST, LUNCH, and DINNER:
• BEFORE EVERY TIME you eat, take 2-3 table spoons of Black Cumin Seed oil.
• Immediately AFTER you eat, take 2-3 table spoons of Black Cumin Seed oil.
• If you snack between meals, you need to take Black Cumin Seed oil again.
(Why? Because bad bacteria feed on the food that you eat. Taking Black Cumin Seed oil with food prevents the bad bacteria from growing when there is food.)
• Take Probiotics around 1 hour AFTER your meal (or on an empty stomach, according to Probiotic instruction)
BED TIME:
• BEFORE you go to bed (at least 1-2 hour AFTER DINNER), take 2-3 table spoons of Black Cumin Seed oil
• Take 1-2 teaspoons of fiber (psyllium husk)... and mix in 8 fl oz (230 ml) glass of water.
Wait for the fiber to form a gellatin after a few minutes, then drink it.
NOTE:
Drinking fiber at the end of the day is very important, because it helps push the food through the digestive track and clean it out. Within a day, you will notice that whenever you have a bowel movement, your stool will come out completely and your rectum (anus) will be very clean and requires very little use of toilet paper!

FOODS TO AVOID WHILE YOU STILL HAVE COLITIS !!!

AVOID or MINIMIZE food/drinks that contain:
(1) Caffeine
(2) Theobromine
(3) Taurine
(4) Tyrosine (amino acid)
Examples: avoid or minimize tea, coffee, chocolate, energy drinks, soft drinks, sport drinks that contain the amino acid Tyrosine in large amount.
Why?
These will cause Colitis to worsen, because they are food sources for the bad bacteria or increase bacteria spores (eggs).

If Colitis symptoms improve within a week (bleeding stop!), KEEP USING the supplements !!!
(1) Black Cumin Seed oil
(2) Probiotics
(3) Fiber (Psyllium husk)
DO NOT stop taking these supplements !!!
The bad bacteria that cause Colitis have spores (eggs) and they can return, so keep using these supplements for at least 3 months, even if you feel completely normal again!
Also, these supplements are NATURAL, have proven benefits for digestive health, so keep using them for as long as you can!
Fiber have SO MANY health benefits, such as lowering cholesterol, reducing risk of colon cancer, and many more!!!
