Hi Champ - It sounds as though you are doing pretty much as I have been doing. And you need to cut yourself a little more slack, unfortunately, because of your return to the hospital.
At 3 weeks and 1 day, I did a public speaking thing which lasted 45 minutes. I was exhausted, bu I did it! And I did an hour long thing yesterday (which also involved prep time and more time afterward): again, I was wiped after. But, np accidents, and I am finding that, little by little, I can do more.
We had my 92 yr old mother over yesterday late afternoon for a labor Day "picnic" (indoors.) My DH drove to fetch her, did the grilling and setting the table, etc....but for the first time I was brave enough to go out in the car after supper, on the trip to bring her back home (I have not been brave enough to be away from the bathroom to go to her apartment since my surgery (an hour driving time and then whatever visiting time); her bathroom has a riser, etc and I'd really rather not get involved with having to clean it!)
So, little successes. They will come gradually. And I was in the bathroom only 12 times yesterday (day and overnight) which is a new low for me!
And, as regards the "picnic" - I can tolerate turkey burgers just fine! A little extra gas, bu not bad....
