PLEASE HELP:blood in stools and horrible pelvic pain (as bad as kidney stones) when I have to poop

I have been having horrible pelvic pain to the point that I can't tell when I'm passing a kidney stone or when I just have to poop. I've also been having a LOT of blood in my stools. The doctors took blood yesterday (3 freaking sticks) to check if I'm going into a flare. Does anyone have pain like this? What helps? My toradol does nothing (that's the clue that it's not a stone). One day, the pain lasted 24 hours before I actually went to the restroom... that was the day the blood started. It started out slow (just streaks on the stool) and got to the point that it looked like I had my period every time I used the restroom and it takes several times wiping to get all the blood off my behind.

I'm just confused and scared. I haven't had a scope in over a year and if I'm not flaring, I'm scared that there might be something seriously wrong. I don't feel like it's a flare because I'm not having mouth sores or head sores. I am autistic and have severe anxiety disorder and just don't know what to do while I'm waiting for answers.

Sorry to hear about what you are going through. I've only had severe pain when I've been in a bad flare, or if I eat something that is extremely rich in fiber that is not water soluble. You may want to switch to a softer diet, unless you are having constipation issues, in which case you might want to add a (mostly) water soluble fiber like psyllium.
Definitely get it checked out with the Doc.
My brother-in-law has Crohn's and gets really bad pain from strictures. People with U.C. don't usually get strictures though.

I do have crohn's as well. still no blood test results but feeling belly pain and LOTS of nausea today. does anyone know how long it takes to get results from Quest or why a doctor would chose to send to Quest instead of the hospital lab?

When I had my first bad flare I had a lot of pain. The only thing that gave me a bit of relief would be to run a bath hot enough to turn me pink, but only a couple of inches deep. It draws the blood away from the belly a bit and helps ease the throbbing. As far as the lab goes, that may be what the office usually does.

elevated SED rate and C-Reactive Protein. doctor is waiting til tomorrow to start treatment. he's unsure whether he wants antibiotics or steroids... something about steroids lowering the immune system. i'm still kinda confused...

got onto the medrol dose pack today. hoping it will help. also took stool softener since i'm constipation dominant and i don't think the stool being too hard is causing the blood but it's bright red so i know it's fresh. hoping things start getting better. was told my blood pressure was high the day of my appointment too so my body is definitely stressed. i am in training at a new job (one where I can't take sick days, so go figure my body goes haywire) and am so stressed about getting sick that i think i made myself sick.
