Sulfasalazine anyone?

Has anyone here tried sulfasalazine?

I've been on Entyvio for almost a year now, half of which has been at the 4 week intervals, and I'm still having issues. Not severe issues, but it isn't putting me into remission at this point.

On and off they've paired it with Uceris, which helped, but upon coming off of it, Entyvio cannot stand on it's own. ....They want to see how I do on sulfasalazine for awhile. I started taking it maybe two weeks ago or so, and it's making me pee super neon yellow?

12 delayed release a day for last 3+ years. Working well. GI was pushing for the antibodies and I told her, I am not touching those until I am 50 at least so she put me on 9 Sulfasalazine a day, had to bump up to 12 to get better results.

I started on sulfasalazine, it worked great for a while but then I started having skin reactions from it so switched to melasalazines.
The yellow pee thing is normal, it's the sulphur in the medication. Make sure you take folic acid with it and drink lots of water.

Currently on 4 pills a day along with Entyvio every 4 weeks (folic acid on the daily too). My symptoms are no longer calling for rectal meds. I haven't had bleeding/urgency about 10 months now.

While on Entyvio *only*, the worst I've experienced is some slight cramping. However, I know my body and I know what it feels like before it turns into a full blown flare, which is why I am very on edge and keeping up with my doctors in terms of my symptoms...I don't want this to "accidentally" get out of control by ignoring symptoms, which is how this whole thing turned into a nightmare a year ago to begin with.

Sulfasalazine is just giving me neon pee and a little bit of a weird feeling in my stomach. Nausea, kind of. We'll see how it continues to kick in...
