I am doing bowel prep for colonoscopy - Been 26 times already

Hi all

I am taking Moviprep for colonoscopy tomorrow.

I have been almost 30 times to the toilet in the past 4 hours. I always go a lot when taking the prep but this is ridiculous. I dont have much UC symptoms lately so I am surprised I am going this number of times.

Does everyone go this much when doing prep?

Not unusual.Everyone is different with there BMs

Boo, that isn't fun. I have to prep on Monday, not looking forward to it at all. Hang in there. Maybe you will be cleaned out quickly and you are just about done!

oh my that's awful. Do your best to stay well hydrated. You're at high risk of dehydration at that frequency. Keep gulping water and or Gatorade as much as is possible.

I generally stop counting when it gets to double figures. I know my sister had some ridiculously high number (more than 30), the hospital tole her it's because she has very long intestines (or something)

Ya I never counted but that’s bc I’d rather not know how many times I go when I do the prep. Once you start going bright yellow/green clear you’re all cleaned out! Hope the scope goes ok!

Thanks everyone! Well, final tally was 31. Its exhausting. I don't mind the not eating, its the prep thats the worst.

Leaving for my scope shortly. Will let you know how it went.

I am back! All I can say is I am over the moon. No sign of UC anywhere. Mayo score is 0. That has not happened for almost 20 years. And I have been off the Pred for over 6 months. I still cannot believe it. The trial drug I am on (Upadacitinib) is truly a miracle for me.
