Hello Everyone,

I haven't posted in a very long time but I was started on Xeljanz in mid December so I thought I'd comment on my progress. Previously, I had tried the 5 ASAs, Imuran, Humira, Remicade, Entivyo, Stelara. That's all I can remember right now. Nothing was working, unfortunately. After starting Xeljanz, I began feeling a LOT better. I went from being sick enough to be in the hospital to going out and having a social life after only a week. Having had quite terrible inflammation for the past 5 years, I really didn't think anything was going to work. I really hope this isn't a fluke. I heard it's been newly approved for UC. That does scare me a bit because I'm the first patient my gastroenterologist has prescribed this medication to so I feel like a guinea pig but I'm glad it's working. Thought I'd share this update with anyone that has tried all of the biologics and still hasn't had any success.

Hi Gina i really appreciate your update. I'm currently on entyvio after having insufficient response to 5 ASAs, cortiment, prednisone, imuran, & infliximab. It works a bit but still no remission after 14 weeks and my dr thinks i should switch to xeljanz. I am scared to do that as it's (probably) my last option before surgery and im also having the feeling nothing will ever work for me. Stories like yours really help. I hope you continue to feel great!

Thank you very much! If you do have to start Xeljanz, I hope it works for you, too. A lot of doctors have told me that we just need to find that one drug that works for us. Hopefully, this is the one!
