Does anyone know if the allow one to donate plasma with UC?

anemic people should not, but can you suggest any reason why people with UC or any other non-infectious disease cannot donate plasma or blood?

I mean what about UC would prevent this?

If Apriso is your only med and your UC is under control, you should be able to. I know I can't because I take Imuran and Inflectra.

Thanks! My UC is in remission right now so I should be fine to donate.

I tried at one point to donate but for some reason I was denied, I forget why. Don’t get discouraged if they say no.

You definitely can’t donate bone marrow because you have an autoimmune disease.

Thanks! I am going on Thursday to see if I am eligible to donate. Hopefully I will be able to!

If the question is not about your health, but about being eligible, I think it is crazy. UC is not AIDS or anything..
