Pentasa suppositories (very) technical question

A curious question, but first I must answer with a question of my own? Why does it matter (for example are you worried about only part of the suppository being used before accidentally passing it through a bowel movement)?

"homogeneously distributed" I would assume so, but I have nothing to back that ascertain up with. Once distributed from the suppository/pill/enema, Mesalamine and its metabolites have a total half-life of about 7.5 hours. The mesalamine interacts with the intestinal wall surface and even gets into the walls a bit. So having a bowel movement doesn't fully flush it out, in it's entirety. At least not immediately. All of the mesalamine is clearanced from the body in about 24 hours, mostly from bms (with about a 10% systematic absorption that is urinated out).
