Sara -- are you a federal employee? Now that you have the infusions, you might want to consider researching the different plans available to you since
open enrollment starts in October. There may be a plan with a where the math works out so that you get more of your infusion/drug costs covered for a higher premium, that is actually less than the cost (if that makes any sense - I pay for a middle-range plan because it actually saves me money in the long-term over the lower-end plan because of the care I need). Someone from each insurance company should be available to walk you through the math. Sometimes we get emails around
open enrollment from the different company contacts. IF not, your HR people should have them.
Too bad you don't have Kaiser -- my premiums are reasonable and I pay $0 for the infusions and meds.
