Elevated FCP

Longtime no speak

I hope everyone’s well today.

Back in August whilst on holiday I had an episode of blood in my stool along with urgency.
This didn’t continue the following day.

But I had already spoken to me IBD nurse and she said to up my oral dosage of salofalk granules from maintenance to full amount.
So currently taking 3G granules 1g suppositorie per night.
Been on this a few weeks now.

Had bloods which were fine.
Stool sample showed calprotectin raised at >600 (this was from last week)

My bowel symptoms are ok-ish at the moment.
There’s no blood or mucus. Sometimes slight pain in rectum.

My two questions are.. how long does a higher dose start to help the inflammation?

Also as far flare symptoms go. Is an achey body and general feeling of yuck included?
Because my tummy is ok I assumed these other symptoms were something else. ?

Yes feeling a bit strange as I would’ve assumed with a high calprotectin level that my symptoms would be worse all round.
In the past they have correlated well with my general well being so I wasn’t surprised when they were higher this time.

yes the blood was just that one time episode. I then increased my dosage the day or two after. And started using my suppositories nightly again.

Could I expect my numbers to come down again within a week or two? And how long should I put up with the aches and pains in my body?
