Has anyone tried palmitoylethanolamide (PEA)? Was it any good?
My vet gave me a pamphlet on it, she said they were discovering how effective it was to treat pain in animals (my dog has arthritis). In the information was a section about
how it also treats ulcerative colitis in people. Apparently it lowers inflammatory cytokines and the build up of neutrophils in UC sufferers.
I haven’t heard about
it before so was curious if anyone else has given it a go? I’m going to try it on my dog and thought I may get some for myself too!

Never heard of that, but after googling it, it seems there is some science to back it up as an anti-inflammatory in the gut. Interesting.

It does look worth a shot, my vet has been very impressed with it but it’s obviously quite unknown. I did a search on the forum and the only thing that turned up was something in the Lyme disease section. I will give it a try and report back, apparently it can take a little while to build up so it may take a few weeks.

Thank you for sharing. Very interesting.
If you decide to try it observe closely your body.
There are only few pieces information about
safety.
Looking forward for you report.

Interesting. Wouldn't it be funny if your vet ended up being the one to help your UC? Lol.
Also, I hope it helps your dog!
