Difference between colitis bleeding and hemmorhoids

I’m currently in a colitis flare and been on SCD for two months. I was seeing such improvement and very little bits of blood randomly. All of a sudden I’m seeing more blood and streaks of it. I’ve had hemmies before and wondering if it could be hemmies. Are there any tell-take signs to distinguish the two? I have seen a very tiny drop on the tissue paper but not a lot, as I know that’s a sign of hemmies.

Stool with blood streaked on the outside usually points to anal fissures. Hemorrhoid bleeding tends to be more on the toilet paper than on the stool. UC bleeding shows blood in the water as well as being on the stool, and usually accompanies mucus.

There's no harm in trying over-the-counter hemorrhoid treatments, like a hemi suppository for a couple weeks and see if it clears up.
