Hi guys,
I just started prednisone. Before starting it my doctor said to take nexium with it since prednisone is a bit harsh in the stomach. Anyone knows more about
this?

I wouldn’t take the nexium as it can increase c diff risks. I’ve taken pred several times and it didn’t bother my stomach. I was on nexium for years prior to diagnosis and got C diff then Crohns diagnosis .

I don't see the point in taking it unless you develop heartburn. Those acid reflux meds have their own risks and side effects.

Nexium is not for bloating... The bloating is because prednisone causes fluid retention. Reducing sodium intake can help.
